"Uilliams" for those who are in trend
I think that right now one of the most well-known and most visited restaurants in Moscow is "Uilliams". Any time during the day: breakfast , lunch or dinner; any day of the week and any month during the year the place is ALWAYS busy and fully booked by both: Moscow inhabitants and foreigners. The restaurant itself is really small, there is a terrace but it's not comfortable for eating since you are gonna be seating on the stairs (you will be given pillows to sit on). Stairs are fine though for those who just wanna hang out with friends drinking "Uilliams" famous delicious lemonade . If you want to eat in "Uilliams" you are highly recommended to book a table in advance. What is lovely about the place, is that the cooking area is open so while waiting for you dish, you can actually see the entire process. When I was there last time this august I was amazed by how organized the chefs are: each person has his own responsibility: one is responsible for sauces, another one for final decoration of the dish, others are specializing in cooking rice/meat /fish or making salads. In such a way the process of cooking is much more facilitated and really fast. The dishes are big but the prices are also above average. Be ready to spend at least 40-50 euros /person. Despite high prices, I am in LOVE with this place! I mean it's super busy but there is also something attractive about it!
MY CHOICE: Lamb with potatoes and melted cheese / Duck with vegetables and jam/ Maracuya lemonade (only in summer!) FOOD: DELICIOUS!!! Big portions AMBIENCE: Loud, hectic BUT very attractive! FOR WHO: Friends, might be too loud for couples but I wouldn't mind :) PRICE: $$$+ RECOMMENDED: A BIG YES!
